Our Mission: Why We Started
Finding a reliable op shop shouldn’t mean scrolling past permanently closed pins. Plenty of church, community and vintage shops still live on Facebook or word of mouth, so Maps alone isn’t enough.
Op Shops Hub pulls those stores into one suburb-based directory. Our goal is simple: help you find a shop that’s open, active and near you. Browse by state and suburb, then check hours and donation notes before you load the car.
How We Operate
Op Shops Hub is an independent Australian directory. We don’t run the shops on the map, and we can’t take donations for any charity. We publish listing details so you can plan a thrift or drop-off trip with fewer surprises.

Our Data & Editorial Policy
Accuracy is our priority. We know charity stores frequently change opening hours or rely on volunteer availability, so we work to keep listings current without inventing details we cannot verify. Where a store has incomplete public data, we leave gaps rather than guess.
- Data sourcing: our directory is aggregated from public charity registers, verified business listings and direct user submissions.
- Verification: we use automated checks to flag “permanently closed” locations and keep the map clean.
- Corrections: spot an error? Use the “Report” button on every listing. We aim to process correction requests within 48 hours.
